Medicare Incentives...
Government incentives make it even smarter to move to PODIATRY TEMPLATES™.
E-Prescribing.
Electronic Prescribing (e-prescribing) has many benefits for today’s physician. Not only will it improve the quality of care you provide your patients but Medicare is currently offering an incentive for all physicians to provide electronic prescriptions to their patients. For 2010 you are eligible to receive a 2% incentive on all of your Medicare patients. This decreases to 1% in 2011-2012, 0.5% in 2013, and in 2014 there will be no incentive offered. To report e-prescribing to Medicare for tracking you are required to submit the appropriate “G” code on at least 25 of your Medicare claims. The “G” is G8553. Eclipsys PeakPractice offers a qualified e-prescribing module that prescribes directly from the EHR to the pharmacy. Our PodiatryTemplates™ offer one-click reporting of the appropriate codes to your superbill.
PQRI
Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) allows physicians to take advantage of a governmental incentive for reporting on quality of care items on Medicare patients. For 2009-2010 you are eligible to receive a 2% incentive on all of your Medicare patients. To report PQRI to Medicare for tracking you are required to submit the appropriate quality of care code on at least 80% of your Medicare claims. PQRI includes a reporting item for "adoption and use of CCHIT certified EHR documented.” By implementing Eclipsys PeakPractice in your office you automatically qualify for this incentive. Our PodiatryTemplates™ offer one-click reporting of the appropriate codes to your superbill.
